I love this story. Love, love, love. I've been looking around for good artist!Neal stories and this one is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. It makes a lot of sense, character wise, for Neal to not like his original work. Great story.

May I suggest Archive of Our Own as a place to post your fic? It has better terms of use than, say, FF.net.

I have to say that I absolutely loved your fic!! It was so awesome and I love how all of the characters reacted and how much fun it all was.

Oh, I adored this story! The whole idea that it was his law-abiding alias that caused him the most trouble, and also the whole idea that he was proud of his forgeries and dismissive of his original work. I loved the 'team' aspects of the story, as well as the way Peter and Neal worked with each other. Also, Mozzie = <3

this story is just fantastic. I've just got back into White Collar and I love it so much. your characterizations of Neal in particular are amazing. thanks for sharing!

This was SO GREAT! There is very little long gen fic in White Collar fandom, at least that I've found, so this was an extra special treat on so many levels -- it's a very original idea, and such a fantastic character study of Neal. I really feel like you nailed him: his unique blend of hedonism and kindness. And all the others were great too, perfectly in character and very well written. Thank you very much for the great read!

Awesome story. I love your Neal characterization, your portrayal of his extremely skewed (but nonetheless firm) sense of right and wrong. I also enjoyed watching the way the FBI danced around the fact that they like him but never trust him.

What a wonderful story. Mozzie, Peter, Hughes and Neal were all delightful, not to mention June. I loved your OC's as well.

Mozzie's criminal common sense; Peter's head shaking pride; Hughes' quick thinking and long suffering pragmatism and Neal's abrupt entry into empathy and remorse, all of it was touching and humorous and enlightening.

I love the fact that Neal has original artwork out there and he's shocked, shocked that anyone would pay for it; now the forgeries, THOSE are some of his finest pieces but these little slices of life? Why? LOL

His attitude reminds me of several artists I know who don't mind giving you a piece of art they've done but for goodness sake don't actually 'show' it to anyone because in their eyes it's not meant to be put forth as indicative of their style no matter how good you and anyone else might think it is; that all rang very true.

I also like that there are people out there who want him to do more art, I hope Peter gives him the okay.
